Front brakes replacement

Just a quick note to ask Pete or anyone who may have the knowledge as to

how much it should cost to replace two front brakes?  I recently had this done

and am now wondering if I was overcharged. My bill states: Front Brake Pads

$87.77 with labor at $85 and hazardous materials another $5. Along with a 10%

discount on the labor, I paid $179.32. Is this an acceptable amount for this repair?

Please advise. (Thank you!)

brake price

That's not too bad of a price. Labor is always high and since you were buying the parts at a shop, they are always higher and they always pick the highest one. It is alot cheaper to do it yourself but if you don't know how then sometimes it's worth it to pay a little more, besides there's probably a warranty. Next time before you have work done, call a few different shops and compare prices, sometimes someone is running a special.
