I have a classic membership and the plan includes towing up to five miles. My shop is 6.9 miles from my car. It acted as if the alternator went out but I'd still like someone to check the battery first anyway. Before I call, I needed to know a few things before. I am a month old member and still not sure what to expect from aaa. If  towing is over 5 miles, how much extra per mile is it to tow?? If it's just the battery, and a battery is replaced on site, will I be expected to pay at delivery or will I be billed?

If it is just the battery we can test and install a battery for you on the spot and yes, you will be required to pay for the battery at the time of service. If the vehicle needs to be towed there will be a $5 per mile charge beyond the limits of your membership. In this case, five miles.
