I moved to Florida over a year ago and was absolutely surprised getting a bill that said there is a $6 charge for - getting the bill (apparently the paper and ink in NY is that expensive). There was another $6 charge for the previous year but I have never received that bill when I was back in NY. I have contacted E-ZPass three times now about cancelling my account, it's been a couple of weeks - and no response, it's like panynj.gov is only intersted in money that falls in their pockets, people are just pawns that go with it and robotically pay.

I'm so sorry to hear that! I remember E-Z Passes from when I lived in New England. I also moved to Florida a number of years ago, since then, I've switched to the SunPass. And to be honest, I haven't had a single issue with the SunPass.

I actually received an email from SunPass just yesterday, stating that they are working on developing partnerships with other tolling agencies, including the E-Z Passes. So hopefully they will pass on some of their best practices!
