Dramatic Cat

by Community Manager on 03-25-2011 02:23 PM

I admit it. I’m easily entertained. In fact, I’m such a pushover for silly stuff that a single YouTube video pretty much fulfilled my need for laughter all week. Not only did I watch it personally a couple dozen times, but I forced most of my co-workers, family and friends to watch it as well.

They thought it was funny…oh yeah, it was cute. But I think they wondered, who is this nut that keeps showing me this YouTube cat video over and over again?

(Don't forget to have your volume up for the full effect...)

So I leave it to you. Do you think this is funny? Is it something that you’d share with, say a few dozen of your close Facebook friends and families?   If so, congratulations….you’re officially in the club.

It’s the “Yes, I’ll laugh at pretty much anything” society. I’ve been a long-standing member for years.

LOL! This is one of the cutest I've seen. The music is so perfect. Definitely one to pass along. :-)

Yes, I am a member of the club.  I watched it three time and laughed until I cried!

Amazing!  How'd they train the Cat to turn on cue like that!?!  HA......

Isn't that a Scottish Fold?  Awesome cats.  I like how it acted like "I can't take this, it's too intense!" and exited stage left.. lol

o.0  Very funny and totally share-worthy.  Thanks.

Oh, I love this! I'm definitely a member of the club. lol I post silly animal videos on my facebook page all the time, along with lolcat pictures. I also post them every now and then on the blog at my pet sitting web site because I think clients appreciate that I'm casual enough to share funny stuff with them.

Very funny!  I think cats are natural actors. Sign me up for the club:smileyhappy:.

I love these sorts of things. They're funny and give me such a laugh that it always brightens my day! Count me in, too!

Oh-Em-Gee, that was too cute! What a talented cat. Was that like, an actor cat who was trained to do that, do you think, or just a regular cat caught in a funny moment. But he reacted just in time to the music so he must have been trained, right? I had a chihuahua once who I trained to eat a banana right from my mouth. Like the scene from Lady and the Tramp with the meatballs, you know? He was sooo sweet. He had different outfits too. I miss him.

I admit, I watched it three times and it was the third time that I laughed the hardest. That is such a typical psycho cat look. My cat often gives my husband that look before she bolts across the house and back trying to bite his ankles. If only i had a soundtrack like that!

by on 04-03-2011 07:10 PM

JessB, that's hysterical, my cat does the exact same thing to my husband, as if he has suddenly been transformed into a well-known kitty serial killer.  He also loves to suddenly freeze and stare fixedly down the (dark) hall at the well-known people serial killer that is hiding down there.  He only does that when I'm at home alone.

Have any of you tried the little laser light to play with your cats? It's hilarious, especially in a darkened room or hallway. My husband gets a little sadistic sometimes and will lead them racing down the hallway at full speed so they have to do a sudden stop so they don't slide into the wall. That's when I would encourage them to bite his ankles if I could. lol

And umm, honeybuns? I think the music was just added to the video after the cat turned. :smileyhappy:

We do this with one of our dogs. She chases the light (either a laser light or even a flashlight) around the livingroom and diningroom and pounces on it. It almost looks like she's trying to put out a fire! Our other dog doesn't even notice the light. She just thinks her sister has suddenly gone crazy.

by on 05-18-2011 10:39 AM

We discovered that the laser light was a great way to get our puppy in at night because he would just follow the red dot right back in the door. lol

by on 05-18-2011 09:28 PM

What a clever idea! I should try this with our dog who follows the light but who also loves to run after ground hogs and deer!

I love seeing what trained dogs can do in movies. I loved Asta in the Thin Man movies, and of course Lassie. The dogs in Babe were incredible too. Oh, and Wishbone was amazing. I wish I could control my dog half as well.

by on 07-06-2011 12:50 PM

BABE was incredible in Babe, never mind the dog! lol I've always heard pigs are really smart. On a sort of off-topic, I've also been reading recently how intelligent dolphions are and that they are "second" only to humans. Do humans say that just to keep the edge in philosophical discussions? How do we know animals (such as dolphins) aren't having incredibly complex exchanges that we just can't access because we don't understand their language or because we don't have the same level of telepathy or empathy?
