Hi, Mr. Weinsheimer,
I'm sorry for the unfortunate and perhaps upsetting situation your neice found herself in with your car. Since you've been a member for more than 30 years I'm sure you're aware that AAA membership is about people. AAA covers you, not your car. This has always been our pledge. Whether you are in your car, your friend's car, your nieghbor's car, or whomever's car, AAA comes to you, the member, when you are in need.
This is why we strongly encourage members to sign up their family members with AAA. Often we cannot be with our family members when an auto incident occurs. But, if they are a member, AAA will come to them—in their car, a borrowed car, as a passenger in someone else's car, etc. Again, AAA comes to the member.
I hope that once your frustration has passed, you will consider remaining a member of AAA and even buying a membership for your niece. Then she, too, can enjoy the security and peace of mind that you have had for the past 30 years.
Best regards,
Stephen Wheeler
