Driving solo up for my daughter's wedding in Ohio from Savannah, GA , I pulled the most bonehead move.
While in Lake City, TN
RENTAL Car still at the pump after filling with gas-went in and paid - came out to find I had locked my keys in the car. The wonderful young woman at Pilot Food Mart said someone had done the same thing day before. That lady had called and enrolled in AAA there locally, and someone had come out and unlocked her car.
So I called home in Ga and my friend enrolled me as her associate. I then called AAA in Lake City, Tn and because I was so recently enrolled -litterally 15 minutes b4- it didn't come up on their system. After answering some questions- they still helped me out,! and 45 minutes later, a man in a truck showed up, took 5 seconds to unlock the rental car and he was gone. And I was on my way!
Wishing I had the names of the 2 different AAA employees in TN area who called trying to contact me to be sure I was taken care of,; because they did their jobs and then some. I was driving over mountains and involved in wedding preperations and never got to return their calls.
You have a grateful member just wanted you to know that.
